Second Stable operates out of a 100 acre property located in the stunning Kanimbla Valley of New South Wales.

Second Stable is a registered charity with The Australian Charities and Not for Profits Commission (ACNC)and has been approved for charity tax concessions by the ATO.

The Second Stable Board comprises of highly qualified leaders who are experts in their respective fields and share a love of horses and commitment to animal welfare.

  • Eva Hanly

    CHAIR

    Eva has over 25 years in Executive roles at companies including Transurban, Origin Energy and Worley.

    She was most recently President Asia Pacific at Fortescue. Prior to joining Fortescue she was CEO of Andrew Forrest’s Squadron Energy, the largest renewable energy company in the country.

    She is a member of the Advisory Board of TAFE NSW and a member of the Deans Engineering Advisory Board at the University of NSW.

  • Dr John Trantalis

    BOARD DIRECTOR

    Dr John Trantalis is an orthopaedic surgeon and a Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sydney and Adjunct Lecturer at The University of New South Wales. He has clinics in Sydney CBD, Caringbah and Balmain.

    ​Dr Trantalis is honoured to have been awarded a Teaching Excellence Award by the Australian Orthopaedic Association and Australian Orthopaedic Registrars Association.

  • Paul Hanly

    BOARD DIRECTOR

    Paul is Divisional Director at Macquarie Bank in Commodities and Global Markets.

    He has responsibility across strategy and finance (reporting & financial analysis, budgeting / forecasts, financial operations) for the Specialised and Asset Finance (SAF) division.

    A Chartered Accountant, Paul has 20 years experience in financial services industry including over 9 years at Macquarie Bank and prior to that at Ernst & Young in Sydney and London.

  • Dr Alyssa Milton

    BOARD DIRECTOR

    Alyssa is a leading academic and researcher in the field of mental health.

    She is a psychologist and Senior Research Fellow at The University of Sydney’s Faculty of Medicine and Health. She is affiliated with the Central Clinical School, the Brain and Mind Centre and the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families.

    Alyssa has worked in Australia and the United Kingdom, including on the development, training and implementation of mental health research in collaboration with University College London.
