Email campaign launched for race season
Whether or not you support horse racing as a sport, if people attend race events, watch the races or make a bet on racing events we believe it is their responsibility to contribute to the horses’ welfare.
If you’re betting at the races, make a bet on the horse’s future
Horse welfare is something that the community and employees feel very strongly about.
By working with Second Stable you can demonstrate that your organisation is actively contributing to the well being of horses.
Have you ever wondered what happens to the horses that you see at the races? Unfortunately many need to find homes or they will be put down.
Even a small donation can enable animal welfare charities like Second Stable to give these beautiful animals a new life after the race track. This involves rehabilitation, rest, retraining and rehoming.
Support Second Stable at your racing event so that you can enjoy the races knowing that the horses will be looked after.
Ex trotter ‘twinkle toes’ at Second Stable
‘Twinkle Toes’ as we have renamed her is a standardbred mare who was previously a trotter at the race track.
She has settled in well at Second Stable and has a new best friend in Little Joe, a chestnut gelding. She loves to trot but like most ex-trotters has great difficulty in transitioning to a canter…… she just trots faster and faster!
She has a beautiful nature and walks comes up to us in the paddock for a carrot.
A beautiful bay mare, renamed ‘Twinkle Toes’ enjoys life at Second Stable while she is retrained. She is a beautifully natured horse.
